The magical story of a bean, from cocoa to Nutella ©
10 November 2024 - 18:00
LA BOULE - Torino
A tale by Lucia Margherita Marino taken from the book The Grammar of Chocolate and Cocoa [Gribaudo] by Clara and Gigi Padovani.
Riccardo Conti – percussion
The story of chocolate begins with Quetzalcóatl, an Aztec deity worshipped in Mexico from the XIII to the XVI century, who according to a legend gifted mankind the cacao tree.
To all of us, chocolate provides a magical answer to life's questions in the form of cubes, flakes, and drops.
This show, accompanied by a delicious tasting, is inspired by the latest book from food writers Clara and Gigi Padovani, who start from that myth to narrate the seduction of chocolate through the centuries: from the European Courts to Nutella ©, which turns sixty in 2024.
