The journey of the Three Wise Men is among the most fascinating in the history of humanity: they set out from Persia, present-day Iran, then crossed Iraq, ancient Mesopotamia, the cradle of civilization, lying between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The road led them to traverse the great desert of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and finally Israel, where they arrived to worship the King of Kings.
Around the figures of the Three Wise Men, since ancient times, stories and legends have spread: they come from the Far East, with unknown animals, wearing elegant garments of unusual style and bringing mysterious gifts. Pilgrims par excellence, they still represent today the symbol of the meeting between East and West: they have inspired musicians, painters, playwrights of every era thanks to their story and the meaning that such a extraordinary journey carries with it.
