Starting from the famous work written in 1813 by Gioachino Rossini, the show takes the audience behind the scenes of the composition and beyond.
It is Olympe Pelissière, Rossini's second wife, who tells us anecdotes and curiosities about Il barbiere di Siviglia and the composer.
Olympe's gaze lingers on the long wait to be officially recognized as "wife" and not just companion of Gioachino, on Rossini's food obsessions and addictions, she recounts the fall of Il barbiere di Siviglia at its first performance and the troubled relationship with soprano Isabella Colbran, the musician's first wife: all this intertwines with the characters of the most famous opera in the world... and the ending is a surprise!
