The audience is taken behind the scenes of the most famous opera in the world and not only...
It is Olympe Pelissière, Rossini's second wife, who tells us anecdotes and curiosities about Il barbiere di Siviglia and the composer.
Olympe's gaze lingers on the long wait to be officially recognized as "wife" and not just companion of Gioachino, on Rossini's food obsessions and addictions, she recounts the fall of Il barbiere di Siviglia at its first performance and the troubled relationship with soprano Isabella Colbran, the musician's first wife: all this intertwines with the characters of the most famous opera in the world... and the ending is a surprise!
The text was commissioned by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Molfetta to Lucia Margherita Marino and brings to the stage an actress and the OttoWind Ensemble.
The arrangements were specially composed by Michele Consueto, the same author of Ti presento Carmen...
