Little is known about her personal history, except that Mary was a young woman of humble origins living in Nazareth, a small village in Galilee. But from Gregorian to contemporary music, the figure of the Virgin has inspired countless compositions of extraordinary beauty.
Ave Maria Gratia Plena is a show that celebrates the Madonna as a symbol of unconditional love through the universal language par excellence: music.
Already from the Sixteenth century, the figure of the Virgin bursts into many compositions, dressing the text of the Ave Maria, from time to time, in different stylistic variations. Caccini, Handel, Cherubini up to Schubert, Gounod, and an unusual Piazzolla: the supreme icon of the woman who encompasses in herself the dimensions of femininity and motherhood has been exalted by composers of every era.
A delicate, ethereal show, rich in meaning, to lead us back to the most intimate origins of each of us.
